ASCOM driver for the Boxdörfer Powerflex MTS-3 Controller

One of the mission statements of the ASCOM-Initiative is to establish a set of interface standards for scriptable and programmable low level control of astronomical instruments. Currently supported instruments include telescope controllers, focusers and domes. A support for further instrument classes like CCD cameras is planned for the future.

Through the development of the driver presented in the following a Boxdörfer Powerflex controller may be connected to a large amount of standard applications.

Licence

The drivers and source code are under copyright of Dr.-Ing. Arno Pernozzoli. The drivers are published under the generic public licence (GPL). The licence text is included into the source code distribution. Part of the source code for the serial communications is copyright of P.J. Naughter (1999). The corresponding project is published on the CodeProject-Site and can be found under the following address: http://www.codeproject.com/system/cserialport.asp.

From version 2.1 on also the source code of the driver is published. They are free for non commercial use. You may send documented improvements or bugfixes to the following address: developer@sky-observer.de. If fixes are of public interest, they will be published on a next release of the drivers. Please include your name in the header of every modified source file.

2.2	Enhancemen of the setup dialog for configuration of latitude and elevation (for compatibility to some applications). Controller settings may be read during configuration. The controller may be also connected when on. Synchronization settings are stored on disconnect. Control dialog is shown after connect. Synchronization settings can be reloaded after reconnect.
